Our Story
Every neurodivergent family knows the chaos. Twelve apps. Five to fifteen professionals who have never met each other. Tools built to fix instead of support. Kids feel broken. Parents burn out. And every year, 1.8 million Americans age out of school support at 18 with nowhere to turn.
We built NixIt because we lived it. Four neurodivergent kids. Decades inside systems that weren't built for us. We got tired of duct-taping together solutions that worked against our brains instead of with them.
So we stopped asking permission and started building.
Our Mission
NixIt is AI-powered support infrastructure for neurodivergent people and the families, coaches, and professionals around them. We build tools that support authenticity, not conformity. That protect autonomy, not override it. That strengthen family relationships instead of adding more surveillance and shame.
Every tool built for this population shows up after the fall. We built the one that shows up before it.
What Makes Us Different
We're not studying you. We are you.
Every person on our team is neurodivergent or raising neurodivergent kids. Lived experience isn't our advisory board. It's our foundation.
Autonomy is sacred.
You control your data, your support, your story. No “for your own good” overrides. No secret monitoring. What you say to NixIt belongs to you. Trust is earned, not taken.
We build infrastructure, not another app.
SMS-native. No app to download. A kid with a prepaid phone can text. Consent lives in the architecture, not in a 47-page terms of service. Grounded in 180+ peer-reviewed studies and a 2026 study of nearly 4,600 autistic adults on what actually helps. We built toward the answer, not the assumption.
Meet the Team
Built by us. For us.
We're not consultants who studied neurodivergence in a classroom. We're neurodivergent people who've navigated broken systems our whole lives, raising neurodivergent kids, building the tools we needed and couldn't find.
